Colonel Holman Mountain in Dixfield features directional views from its mostly wooded summit. I have several times seen this mountain referred to as simply “Holman Mountain”, even though that mountain is on the other side of Route 2. This is a good hike to do in the winter, as a packed snowmobile trail leads from Common Road to the summit.
