Though this spot may not have views, Daggetts Rock is an interesting geological feature. It is a glacial erratic, a rock ripped away from bedrock elsewhere during the last ice age, carried by the glacier, and deposited when the glacier melted. There are plenty of glacial erratics all over areas that were glaciated, but Daggetts Rock is one of the largest in North America, similar in size to Madison Boulder in Madison, New Hampshire, and Agassiz Rock in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.
