Pico Ridge is a granite outcropping over Clearwater Lake that provides nice views of Clearwater Lake below and all the way over to the White Mountains. Located in the Eastern portion of the Western Lakes and Mountains region, where granite plutons become increasingly sparse, it is a lone granite blob in the midst of predominantly low to mid-grade metamorphic rock. It makes for a good loop hike with neighboring Little Pico Ridge, which is made of slate, and therefore conformal to the majority of the bedrock in the area.
