Speckled Mountain in the Evans Notch area is a moderate hike that features fine views to the North. It can be hiked by itself – via either the Spruce Hill Trail or the Cold Brook Trail. It can also be looped with neighboring Blueberry Mountain via the Bickford Brook – Blueberry Ridge Trail Loop from Brickett Place for a longer hike. If you’re REALLY feeling ambitious, and are up for a 9 to 10 hour hike, you can loop East Royce, Speckled and Blueberry Mountains together – via the East Royce Trail > Spruce Hill Trail > Blueberry Ridge Trail loop, starting and ending at Brickett Place.
